Be Stilll and Know God is God

It does not matter where you are in your life; it only matters where God is going to take you. His light is our solace in a lost and perishing world.  The word of God promises us that we will have peace despite our situation and that he has a plan to give us a future with hope.  Jesus has paid the price for our victory in every circumstance.  There is never a battle that can defeat you.  It is only when you understand that you are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ that you can believe that God’s strength and his perfect plan for you life are all that you need.

Too often the storms of life can leave you weary making it a struggle to stand in faith.  The enemy who roams this earth seeking to kill, steal and destroy will use every effort to make you doubt that God cares about your difficult situation. Satan is the father of lies and he will try to use  your heartache and pain to rob you of your joy.  The truth is that he cannot steal the purpose and plan for which God sent his only Son to redeem for us.

We read in 1 Peter 5:10 that, “The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”  The storms that this life brings will be turned around for your good and will bring you to the knowledge of how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.(Ephesians 3:18}  It is only after you have been in a painful battle and watched as your God defeated all of your problems that you can grow in unwavering trust.

Nothing can overcome you when your life is in Christ.  He is your power and the force to go on even despite the pain you may be experiencing.  God is never limited by the impossibility of your situation.  He who spoke the world into existence has a way out of every trial you endure.  In Scripture we read that it was God who shut the mouth of the lions and saved Daniel when he was thrown into their den for not bowing down to the king.  It was God who went with young David to defeat the giant. It is always the strength of God who meets us at the battle and takes down our enemies.  We have nothing to fear because the word of God promises us that we cannot be destroyed.

You may be facing a serious illness, an addiction, a broken marriage, or financial problems but you need to know that God is willing and able to take you through your struggle that you may be anxious for nothing.  We are told in Isaiah 26 that God will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in the one who can do all things.

You can be hard-pressed but never crushed by your problems.  God knows your name and saw all of your days before one of them came to be. Jesus will guide your steps and be the light when the darkness of your situation is overwhelming. And he will never leave your side.

There will always be battles that come against you in your life, but Jesus tells us to take joy for he has overcome them all!

Strong on Your Behalf

"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards him." - 2 Chronicles 16:9 Have you ever felt like God is a distant God? You may think,"Other people talk about how God has showed Himself mighty in their lives, but He never seems to do the same for me." Many people ask this question in their hearts but fail to ask themselves why it seems to be the case. You see, God wants to show Himself to be mighty on your behalf even more than you do. Second Chronicles 16:9 says,"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong on the behalf of them whose heart is perfect (loyal) towards him." If God desperately wants to do great things in our lives, then why doesn't He? Well, one very possible answers to that question is that we may not have a totally surrendered to God. If we are holding on to the controls of our life, God cannot have His way and as a result, we will live a sad life of mediocrity in which we will not see God as our defence, strength, and sustainer. The verse in 2 Chronicles validates this when it talks about how God looks to shew Himself strong on the behalf of those who are loyal to Him. Surrender is absolutely necessary for us to see the mighty hand of God the way we should. God uses trials to shows us that He is with us and that He is our Strength. It is the unwillingness of many of God's children to go through the trials and valleys that keeps them from seeing the Lord's mighty hand in their lives. You see, in order for us to be able to say,"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me"(Psalm 23:4), we have to first be willing to go through the valley. The Bible is filled with examples of people who went through difficult circumstances. However, they remained faithful to God and trusted in Him. As a result, the Lord showed Himself strong on their behalf. Afterwards their hearts were filled with joy and peace because of their confidence in the Wonderful One who proved himself to be for them. These people in God's Word had to first go through a trial in order to be able to experience the joy of having the Lord prove Himself mighty to them. The same is true with us. God is not going to let the trials that He, in His good and sovereign will, allows into our lives to destroy us. God is good in everything He does and He just wants to use trials for a far greater purpose in our lives (Romans 8:28).

Samuel said, “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22

When you obey, you are willing to do what God wants and the focus is not self, but God. When your focus changes from self to God, that is the time, when you love God more than yourself and you obey God even if you have to sacrifice anything. That is the time when you are alive, but you are sold out for God and living only for Him. That is known as a living sacrifice. God loves a living sacrifice. The aroma coming from a living sacrifice is amazing which pleases God. Then there is a special favor on that person. God honors that individual's word, by not letting it go without any effect. But whatever that individual says, God does it.
Your word starts having power. God starts revealing mysteries to you which becomes a discovery or invention for you. Then people also want to know more of such things and follow you. God gives you fame and honor everywhere. Why not because of sacrifice but obedience.
When God asked Abraham to offer his son Isaac as an offering, by killing him. The choice was with Abraham. If he looked at self, he wouldn't have been able to obey God and there wouldn't have been a sacrifice. But Abraham obeyed God and fixed his eyes on God, when he was about to kill His son, God stopped Abraham. Then God not only blessed Abraham, but made him famous, honorable, and powerful and above all, God called Abraham His friend.
Don't try to offer sacrifices to God. It might be easy or even hard. But try to obey God. God loves obedience. There is no point you offering sacrifice and don't obey God. When you obey God you don't have to offer sacrifices. Obedience comes from a loving heart. If you love God only then will you obey God. Take the help of the Holy Spirit even in the smallest thing and obey God.

Peace that surpasses your understanding – Part 2

The peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Jesus said, “I will give you My peace, not as the world gives, but My peace.” This peace will keep you calm in the midst of the turmoil. When Jesus was in the boat and sleeping in the stern, winds and waves rose against the boat. All the disciples of Jesus and others in the boat were panicking and trying everything to save themselves. Jesus was sleeping without any worries about death. Jesus knew it was not His time to die. The disciples cried out to Jesus for help. Jesus immediately commanded the wind and the sea and said, “Peace, be still.” There was great calm. (Mark 4:39) This was beyond everyone's understanding. The peace in Jesus, didn't make Him panic like others, instead it gave Him authority to command to the opposing forces to calm down and they obeyed Jesus.

That Peace, Jesus wants you to have. It will not only keep you calm and still, but also guard your mind and heart. Whenever people or the devil will try to put the panicking thoughts and restless thoughts in your mind or your heart, the peace of Jesus will guard your heart and stop such thoughts from entering your heart. The peace of Jesus in you tells you that God is in control of your life and things will work out for your good. Though you are not healed now, but Jesus will heal you. Though you have not got your promotion now, but Jesus will give you your promotion. Though things are not in your favor now, but God will work things out in your favor.

The peace from God gives you an assurance within. You know and know that things will change for your good. That’s why it’s beyond your understanding. In your trouble times, call upon Jesus to help you and He will give His peace to you. You will have the authority and you will not panic. You will be in control and calm

Peace that surpasses your understanding – Part 1

The peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

The peace that is spoken here is not the one comes basis the natural situations. This peace also doesn't come when God answers your prayers, nor when you get miracles. This peace is very different, which comes directly from God. This is beyond your understanding. When I say that it’s very different and beyond your understanding is because you are still in the mess. The problems which you had has not changed. You have not received your healing, you have not got your promotion, your debts are not be cleared, your child has not become better, yet you are not panicking. Yet you are in peace.

Things around you and in your life, might be falling apart, yet you are full of peace. You are not thinking of suicide, you are not depressed. Things are not working out good for your, yet you have a song in your mouth. Others who are going through similar situations are already gone. But you are full of joy, full of peace. This is beyond your understanding, it’s beyond everyone's understanding. This is the peace which comes from God. It’s not natural and hence neither will you understand nor other people.

True humble nature – Part 2

Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud, but humility comes before honor. Proverbs 18:12

People have the wrong conception of humbleness. They think it is all about not speaking high of oneself but low of oneself. In general conversation they say, “I'm no good, I'm the worst, it just happened etc.” That is not true humbleness. Humble person doesn't seek attention, but if they get they will not brush it off, nor cast it down. They seek this as an opportunity to glorify God and tell about the wonders that God has done in their life. People who always want to glorify God will never seek their own praise. They will not speak highly of themselves, because they know even though they used their skills and talents, God is the one who opened the door. God is the one who gave them the idea to do it. God is the one who showed them the way to do it. God is the one who helped them in it and didn't allow them to fail.

If you focus on self, whether you have a high opinion about self, or a low opinion, you are proud. Stop focusing on self. Everyday pray that Holy Spirit will reveal to you when you are focusing on self. Ask Him to help you that you resist such thoughts and bring it into subjection to what God has to say about that particular thing. Bible clearly says, “Bring every thought which is haughty and contrary to what God has to say, into subjection. Bring all thoughts that is contrary to God under subjection to God. You will have to take the efforts and Holy Spirit will help you. Without your efforts of asking Holy Spirit to help and willing to get rid of pride, Holy Spirit will not help. He is the Helper and not doer.
Holy Spirit will also teach you true humility. There is blessing in humbleness. The more you are humble the more you will be honored by God. The more you humble yourself before God, the more He will use you. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. The proud speaks high/low about self only for destruction. Humble yourself, before God. Stop thinking about self. Stop feeding your ego. Take the help of Holy Spirit and erase all self-opinion, pride and ego. God will give grace in everything you do. You will be successful. People love a humble person.

True humble nature – Part 1

Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud, but humility comes before honor. Proverbs 18:12
The world today, follow people who speak highly about themselves. You will see many celebrities in various fields talking highly about themselves. They speak, because they have made their own life. No one generally looks at how they have reached that place. Today the world is running behind the outcome, no matter how it comes. People want success no matter how it comes. They are ready to compromise on everything that is needed to get it.
They only live for the present. They think and assume that they are living for the future, but actually they are living for the present. The person who compromises on things can never last in the longer run. The person who has based things on principles and follows it under all circumstances, not only lasts but even outlasts. Under stressful conditions it is difficult to make the right choice and even stick on to your principles. But if God is in your heart, stress will not overcome you. Instead, you will conquer stress and also make the right decisions.

Proverbs 21:5 the thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want/poverty/lack. You will see proud people have an opinion about self. They hate people who have a contrary opinion or opinion that is below their self-opinion. A humble person doesn't have own (self) opinion. His opinion is based on what God has to say about him/her.
If God says, “You are special, that person without a second thought, has the same opinion.” Also if God says, “You are the worst, without a second thought has the same opinion.” Such people will not have low self-esteem, neither will they try to seek acceptance or approval from others. Humble people are not people pleasers, they please only God. That's why they are able to stand boldly before anyone and also know how to speak to people in gentle and loving way. They will not speak highly about self because they don't have an opinion about self. They never focus on self.

Obedience is better than sacrifice – Part 1

Samuel said, “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22

God is clearly saying that He is looking for obedience and not the sacrifices. We want to offer God the sacrifices, rather than obey God. We want to do things by our will power and remove many things from our life which we know that God doesn't like. We with our efforts try to pray and read the bible. We with our efforts try to please God by sacrificing the things we like and do what God likes. Sometimes after doing such things we become bitter because we don't see the expected outcome.
We read the bible and pray to see changes in us. When we do it and don't see the changes coming in us we get frustrated and start questioning God and stop doing it. This happens when we have done things by our will power, by our own strength. When you begin with your own strength we have to continue and finish also with our own strength. But if God begins something, then you have to relax and not struggle because God will not leave you till He completes His good work in you.
Does that mean you don't have to do read the bible and pray? If you are not asking the help of the Holy Spirit and doing it by your own strength it will not yield result. God has clearly said, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, I will do it.” When you do things by taking the help of the Holy Spirit, there are always results. Then sacrifice that comes will not make your bitter but better.
Many look at giving up many things only to please God, later on you regret or grumble about it. Many tell God, “I did this for you, I left that for you, but you have done nothing for me.” God is not asking for those sacrifices. Sacrifice is an outcome of obedience. Sacrifice is a result of obedience. If you are looking at change the result without following the right procedure, it is called as manipulation. We don't like manipulated results, then how do we expect God to like it.

Faith pleases God – gets you breakthroughs – Part 2

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Many people break during this testing time and never come back to God. They think God has forgotten them and doesn't want to do good. But that is not the truth. If He didn't want to do good, you wouldn't be alive, because He also has the power to take away your life. But if He is not doing it, is because He loves you and He is good. He will do a miracle in your life, which you have never imagined, then you will know that God exists and He is the miracle worker. Your belief in God will increase. But don't give up.

As the waiting period increases, some people use their emotional tantrums to get immediate answers from God. God has emotions but He is not moved emotionally when it comes to your good. A mother may not give a sharp knife in a 3 year old child's hand even if the child throws an emotional tantrum and cries. The mother knows what is good even under stressful conditions. That same way, God knows what is good for each one of us. Rather than throwing an emotional tantrum and telling God I will commit suicide, I will not come to you again, use your faith. Your faith pleases God and He will answer you immediately. The more emotional tantrum you throw, it will take more time for you to get the answers to your prayers, because you haven't yet grown up in your faith. God wants you to leave your kiddish behavior and exercise your faith to get breakthroughs.

You do get answers to your prayers, emotionally too, but not only by emotions. If emotions are combined with faith, it’s a powerful way of effective prayer. Such prayers touches God and brings immediate results.

– Jimsen & Sneha

Faith pleases God – gets you breakthroughs – Part 1

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6

If you are expecting something to receive from God, then you ought to believe that He exists and rewards those who come to Him expecting things from Him. Believing in God is important, but along with it, coming to Him believing that He can do it in your life is also important.

God clearly says, “Without faith it’s impossible to please Him.” Many of you have been waiting from a long time to get the answers to your prayers, your breakthroughs, your healing, your deliverance and many more. All this will come in the lines of faith. With patience and faith you inherit the promises of God. At times, you immediately receive many things, because your faith is up to the mark for that particular prayer. But there is also building up of your faith, when you are
asked to wait on God.

This waiting time is the most important time and the most difficult time. During this time, it seems as if your prayer is not reaching beyond your roof. It seems like everything you are doing is not right as you don't get a single breakthrough. But everyone around you are getting breakthroughs. There are many questions in your mind, whether are you doing the right thing? Should you be waiting for God to do it or should you take it in your own hands and do things for you? Is anything good going to happen to you? Compared to your past situation, this is a very different situation, and does God have an answer to this problem of yours? Can God do it this time again?

All these questions seem valid right now, because as far as you can see and forecast, you don't see anything good coming your way. But don't keep on thinking about these questions as this will only pull your faith down. The longer you are tested, better is the outcome of it, better is the success and promotion. Waiting time is testing time, testing time is promotion time. Without a test there is no success, without a battle there is no victory. God wants you to be victorious and know the truth that you are a victor and not a victim. Where there is a trial there comes triumph. Where there is a battle there comes victory.

Build your confidence – Part 2

For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father. Romans 8:15

Put your confidence in God. He will help you under stressful conditions. I have seen athletes who have created records while practicing, but in the main arena under stressful conditions they couldn't even qualify to the next round. Trusting your skills only will not help you. Trust in God. He has a proven track record of succeeding in all conditions. In fact under stressful conditions of people, God has done greater miracles.

God has not given you the spirit of fear, doubt and timidity, but of boldness and power. Gideon (from the bible) was a timid person, but when he involved God in his life, trusted God more than his skills, he was able to come out boldly and lead a country to victory. Only God can bring out transformations. The love of God in your heart will cast away the fear and lack of confidence.

The continuous thoughts of failures and the opinions of the people have caused a stronghold of fear in your mind. When you continuously think upon the word of God (1. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. 2. God will turn around all things for my good) I have given here, will destroy the stronghold of fear. It will deliver you from the bondage of fear. When you have God confidence, you will not only do things to your full potential, but even beyond your potential. God confidence will help you do things according to God's potential.

– Jimsen & Sneha

Build your confidence – Part 1

For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father. Romans 8:15

Confidence is a synonym for trust. Opposite of confidence is timid and doubt. There are many kinds of fear which works on our mind and paralyses our confidence. Fear is a bondage which stops you from succeeding and doing good.
Our past experiences, people’s opinions and statements work on our mind which impacts our confidence. What you constantly think upon (meditate) is finally going to impact you. If you are going to meditate upon your past failures, negative opinions of people, then you will lack your confidence. Today, I challenge you to discipline your thoughts. Think what you are thinking. Peel off the statements of people, from your mind, that has done you no good for such a long time. It has affected you in a way that you never could do things as per your potential.

The people who made those negative statements might not be even alive, might not be even a part of your life, or even important in your life today, yet you are treasuring their words for your ruin. If you don't remove it from your mind now, it can even ruin your future. The bible says, “Perfect love casts away all fear.” The love of Jesus on the cross can build your confidence. You can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you. By God's strength you will be able to achieve the impossible. Even if anything goes wrong, which is one of the fear that haunts people, God will turn it around for your good.

Binding the strong man is very important

Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house Matthew 12:29

I want to bring to your remembrance this word which Jesus spoke. It’s so important in our life, yet we have forgotten it or taken this word lightly.

Many of you have lost things in your life. Today whatever you might try to do is turning out against you. Instead of success you are failing in life. Instead of a successful marriage you are experiencing more problems. Instead of abundance you are experiencing lack in your life. The demonic powers, the evil forces, and the strong man the devil is ruining you. For you to stop his power from working in your life and avoid your going towards destruction it’s important for you to take the authority that Jesus has given you. Use this authority to bind the devil and his powers coming against your relationship, your success, your job, your marriage, your breakthrough. You have to take authority in the name of Jesus and come against the devils plans to ruin you.

Many don't know their position in Christ Jesus. Hence many live a fearful life. Many are scared of people, many fear good things happening in their life and don't enjoy it. Today use the authority that Jesus has given you and bind the devil from robbing you, ruining you and destroying you. Your battle is not against flesh and blood (people you see) but against principalities and powers in the heavenly places. You don't have to be scared of it, because Jesus has defeated it all by His resurrection. That power and authority, Jesus has given you. Use it, in the name of Jesus. This way you can get double of what you have lost and also stop the further losses in your life. Break the sting and the power of the strong man, by bind him in the name of Jesus.

      Jimsen & Sneha

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I take the authority that you have given me and I bind every evil forces, every demonic attack, every principalities and powers and the heavenly forces that is coming against me and my family. I bind the strong man working against my prosperity, my marriage, my business, my job, my promotion, my studies (name more things if any, that you can remember which you think the devil is controlling in your life) and trying to rob me, destroy me and kill me, in Jesus name. Lord I pray, please release Your Spirit to have complete control over everything of my life and in my life. In Jesus' name I pray.

Resurrecting your dead love

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living (loving) water. John 7:38

The rivers of living waters are ready to flow out of your heart, not because of your feelings or your emotions, but because of your faith. There are springs of love in your heart because of your faith and not because of your feelings and emotions.
Don't base your life only on feelings and emotions. Many people's married life and family life are going to be dead only because their emotions and feelings have dried up. Emotions and feelings are an important factor, but not so important that you can flow with it and make decisions basis it. At times emotions may tell you to commit suicide only because your heart is broken. At times emotions and feelings may tell you to stop loving your spouse, brothers, sisters or your parents.
Emotions and feelings will dry up. It will fluctuate during the course of life as you get to know each other better or change in your priorities. But love is not a flood of feelings and emotions basis which you make a decision. Love doesn't happen, it is developed. You can suddenly like someone, but you have to develop the love for the other person. The more you meet the other person and share your time and thoughts and feelings and emotions, and listen to them, you start developing your love.
True love remains even after emotions and feelings are dried up. Your liking can change basis your emotions and feelings, not your love. Many get married or begin relationship basis their liking or feelings only and then end their relationship on a wrong note. If you are planning to get married, or begin your relationship, check, is it only a liking or love? If you are already married and in a relation, develop your love.
Resurrect your love life, by remembering the good times in your relationship. Be friends once again. Let not your busy life and the things of this life, steal your love. The world and its things are not so important when you don't have your loved ones with you.
Love is there in you, which you have stopped from flowing out of you. Allow it to flow once again, by removing all the blockages. There are springs of this love in you. Allow the rivers of love to flow out of you. Resurrect your dead love, your dead relationship. Let love blossom in your family.

As you think so are you

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

Do not let your mind control you. You control your mind using the plumb-line as the word of God. Check if are you thinking the right thoughts as per the word of God or are you thinking anything contrary to it. Are your thoughts only about self? Be careful to change your thoughts otherwise the inappropriate thoughts will ruin your life and lead you to the road of destruction.

Your mind has an appetite. Depends what are you feeding it with. You see there are many poor people who don't get the regular hygienic food due to lack of money to buy it. To keep themselves alive, they eat from the garbage. What a normal person throws away in the garbage, these people pick it up and eat. That same way if you don't feed your mind with good thoughts and hygienic thoughts based from the bible, your mind will automatically feed itself with the garbage.

Where do negative thoughts, depression, pride, violence, arrogance, lust come from? They come from the garbage, because your mind is not fed with hygienic food. It takes the same energy and strength to feed your mind with good or garbage. You have to choose. It may seem difficult to feed your mind with good things. But there is no point in thinking garbage, it only will sooth you emotionally and later take you into depression. Rather than soothing your emotions feed your mind with good food.

Don't be conformed to your situations. Your health not improving, your business not doing well, your marriage not working, you are not able to overcome etc. Thinking about these things will not help you. Renew your mind by hearing and reading the word of God. Meditate on what God has in His mind about you. You may think God has nothing good about you in His mind, otherwise this would not have happened to you. It’s not the truth. The truth is that this situation is tailor-made for you, so that you can succeed and rise above. Bible says, “As a man thinks so is he.” Think right. Feed your mind with good food, rather than garbage. Imagine yourself eating the garbage every time you think something unhygienic.

You are a more than a conqueror. You are an over-comer. You are born again to be victorious. Move around with people who will challenge you and help you to get your thoughts right. You can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you.
