Persistent Delilah – Part 2

And when Delilah pressed him (Samson) hard with her words day after day, and urged him, his soul was vexed to death. Judges 16:16
You are strong only in God. When you leave God, you are giving up on the strength of God, and it will make you weak. So never walk away from God in your thick and thin. Philistine army was waiting to take advantage of Samson's weakness. They were waiting near to Delilah's house, and they could hear the conversation between Delilah and Samson. Samson lied to Delilah about his strength 3 times. When the Philistine's realized that Samson is not going to tell them, the secret of His strength, they left Delilah and Samson, and went away. They had given up and gone.

On the other hand, Delilah was focused on what she wanted in life. She was very determined to achieve her dreams. Initially the Philistine's backed her, but now even they got tired and left her. But she was so focused and determined that even though Samson had lied to her many times, she didn't give up. She kept asking. She was not a lady who was willing to give up, till she sees her dreams come to. How focused and determined we ought to be. In this, Delilah felt humiliated when she was cheated by Samson 3 times. Moreover, Samson might have insulted her, rebuked her, yet she didn't give up. She pressed on and on. She did this for destroying someone's life. Only if she had used this persistence and perseverance for building her own life and others life, in the way of God, how blessed she would have been. She would have be spoken as an example and not as a ridicule.

If only we could apply this perseverance and persistence in our life with God, we will never live in lack or want. We will never continue to remain unhealthy, we will never continue to remain without a job, we will never remain in lack. Instead we will see healing flowing in our lives, we will see breakthroughs of new jobs and blessings and promotions in every area of our life. A focused person doesn't need anyone to encourage him nor does not wait for people to back him up. He knows that God is with him and he can never fail. God will give you a Midas touch, so that you will prosper in everything you touch. Bible says, "God was with Joseph and he prospered. God was with Uzziah and he became famous far and wide (even in foreign countries)." Be focused and determined, but don't go the route of Delilah to destroy lives, but build yours and others life. Then people will love you and God will bless every work you do. God bless you.
