Power in truth compared to facts – Part 1

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all the truth. John 16:13

Today, what we need is truth more than the facts. Facts are the data of the current or the past situation. Facts gives us the data/information, and expects us to bring about the changes, by our own efforts, knowledge and experience. We have to find the root cause of the issue, and create the action plan. We have to be up to the mark always and ensure that things are progressing and not stagnant. Though we might be down or low we have to keep working on the action plans if we are looking to succeed.

Facts might keep on changing as data or information keeps on changing. e.g. Today's weather report might say that it will not rain. But many times we have seen that the information provided has turned out to be wrong. Means, it has rained on days, when the data/fact gave the information that it will not rain. This kind of situation makes the action plans fail, because the root cause is changing. Listening to the report you might have not carried an umbrella or a raincoat. That means there are variances in the facts and hence the action plans can also have variances and hence it will not give a 100% solution. Adding to that there are also issues of implementation, monitoring and perseverance of continuing to do it daily with the same energy and enthusiasm of the actions plans. The energy, enthusiasm and perseverance is very important. If one day missed, the whole outcome can change and the desired result will not be seen.

Facts are important and we have to keep working on it. But there are certain things which are just impossible with all the action plans. All the analysis will not help at that time. Such times you need the truth. There is a huge difference between the truth and the facts. Truth has the power to change the facts into positive. People find it easy to believe in facts rather than truth. As humans we have the tendencies to rely on our senses rather than faith. Hence not many see the victories and successes coming in faith. The most important fact is that putting the truth in action by faith yields better results than putting facts into actions. Does that mean that I will not use the facts. No! Use the facts but if the fact is contradicting with the truth, you should be able to choose what to do, after reading what I have mentioned above.
