The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, the other side of Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. Matthew 4:13
Zebulun means dwelling and Naphtali means wrestling. To be precise it means "my wrestling" The people who were dwelling in the land of Zebulun and Naphtali were people who were wrestling in life. They were struggling in life. Their struggles were too much for them to bear. They were dwelling in the dark, near the Jordan. Jordan typifies death.
Many of us might be going through the same situation. We might be in the dark and struggling in life. Many might be struggling to keep their faith, keep their hopes alive. Many might be struggling to keep their promises to families. Many might be struggling to get deliverance from your addictions. Your strength might be failing you. You might be thinking that you will never come up in life, all these problems of your life will end up in death. Your sickness might be incurable. Doctors might have said that you are going to die, your teacher might have told you that you are going to fail, your coach might have told you that you cannot make it even to the trials, your boss might have told you that you are not capable for the promotion. All these thoughts might tell you that your end is near.
But let me tell you the truth that you are not going to die in your problems. Whoever it might be, their opinions or statements for you, are not the final. God's opinion is final for you. Experts built the Titanic, yet it sunk, but an amateur Noah built the ark basis the plan of God and yet it never sunk. Experts may fail, but God never fails. God is saying to you now, "My light has come upon you, like the people who were dwelling and struggling in the land of Zebulun and Naphtali, thinking that they will end up in death. According to the expert historians they failed, because God's light shined upon them. Their life didn't end up in struggling. They didn't die in their problems. The bible says, "God's light shined on them and darkness vanished, death was turned to resurrection, mourning was turned to joy.
