Love Never fails. I Corinthians 13:8
This was actually an eye opener for me. Here I was asking God to change my wife, and God was asking me to change. I was finding it hard to believe and it was difficult. But I decided to obey God and do what He asks me to do. Bible says, "Love your enemy." Many of us we are ready to love our far off enemy, but not our family members. We are ready to forgive others but not our family members. God said, "You will become witnesses for me in Jerusalem, Judea and then Samaria." Jerusalem speaks about family, Judea speaks about people around us even our relatives and Samaria speaks about everyone that is far off. If you are not being a living witness of the Love of God in Jerusalem, God can't use you to be a witness of His love in Judea and Samaria.
God said, "Jimsen, How much ever you change, 1/10th of it will reflect in your wife and people around you. 1/10thof their changes will reflect in the people around them." There I realized the more I change the more everyone around me will change. Initially they will take advantage of you, but they can't continue in it long. God is a God of justice. He is righteous. He will not allow people to do anything to you, more than you can bear. In all that God will strengthen you to overcome. God will give you grace. Remember every time you change and obey God it gets you closer to God.
I saw a drastic change in my wife and the people around me. Only because, I was changing by obeying God. God started changing everyone around me. I'm not saying it is easy. At times, I was right and I felt like fighting for my rights, but then I realized that if my family has to be blessed, if my family and I have to serve God, I will have to pay the price. I will have to take the 1st step and the rest 99 steps, God will take for me. I have seen my wife change, only because I looked forward to change. The day, you see others around you are not changing, it is only because, you are not changing. I don't mean to offend you, but revealing the truth to help you.
