What to do in times of Temptations? - Part 1

And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread." Matthew 4:2,3

I want you all to see an amazing thing, what God showed me. The devil also known as the tempter comes to tempt you when you are hungry. Jesus had fasted 40 days and 40 nights by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was hungry after the fast. Spiritually, Jesus had become very strong, but in the natural, He was hungry. The tempter, didn't come anytime, but waited till Jesus was hungry. Jesus was so hungry that He could feel the hunger. The most important thing that Jesus need at the hour was food. The tempter knew that Jesus being the Son of God has the power to convert the stone into bread.

The best thing here is that Jesus after fasting in the will of God and the power of the Holy Spirit was in the perfect will of Heavenly Father. He could have proved to the devil that He is the Son of God. Thats where we have the chance to fail. We try to prove to people who we are. Its not that the tempter didn't know who Jesus was, yet he was asking those questions. Why? It was only to put doubt and unbelief. Jesus was sure of who He is and what is His purpose on the earth. Many of us we try to prove to people who we are, not because they don't know, but because we are not sure of who we are. Dig yourself in the word of God and you will know who you are? Meditate on it and you will be sure and confident. Trying to prove to people and please them, we tend to go out of the will of God. Instead of pleasing God, we end up pleasing people. Then we end up losing our peace. Trying to please people, steals our peace and also our joy.
