Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments. Psalm 119:6
Choose the right company. The people who talks 90% about your goal and challenges you to reach their are the people whom you ought to hang out with. They might be your best friend, but they are not challenging you to rise up better move ahead. The 10% time you have to meet them if you really have to, otherwise use that 10% also for getting your focus right.
You have one life and very less time to achieve what you intend to achieve. Set your priorities right. Many have too many things in their plate. They are not able to choose what ought to be there and what ought to be removed. Others keep on putting in their plate and they without realizing keep all of it. They are not able to prioritize what is needed and what is not needed.
Its time to clean your plates and keep only what is required. You will ask, "How do I know what is right and what is not?" Plate is your life and things on your plate are everything in your life. Check everything in your plate, does it help you to reach your goal and aim in life. If you are serious in reaching to new heights and do great things, then you will have to pay the price of disciplining yourself and removing everything that is not part of your goal. As of now even if those things are helping you only 10% remove it. Keep things which will help you surge ahead immediately and in the long term.
You should be like the horse that is running a race. You will see that its eyes are covered so that it sees only ahead. Apart from that it can't see anything. Whats going around it? Who is at what pace? Who is next to it? All of this doesn't affect it. That same way, cover your eyes that you don't start competing with others. Let the reigns of you life, be in the hands of God as the reigns of the horse in the hand of the jockey. The jockey decides the pace depending on the distance to the finish. That same way, your life's reign should be in the hands of God. Let Him decide your pace. Let Him decide in which position you should be when you begin, cause later on He will strengthen you to surge ahead and be victorious. He will build your stamina too. Trust in Him with everything and let God do everything in your life.
While doing this, let nothing come in your plate distracting you from reaching your finish line. Remove things and people whoever are not helping you. This is only for those who want to get their focus right. If you are ok with your focus and have no goal in life, you can continue with wherever you are.
