We live in a world, where we know a lot of people and a lot of people know us and we deal with people from different walks of life. You know the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh but does the Prime Minister know you? No! Similarly, you know Jesus but does Jesus know you? You will know Him only if you have a very intimate relation with Him. Many people know Jesus as the Son of God, a Healer of sickness, One who does miracles etc.,
Knowing who Jesus really is, is very important.
Let's look at the Scripture to see who Jesus who really is:......
Matthew 14:35 - And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word around to all that region and brought to Him all who were sick. Here the verse says that the people at Gennesaret, recognized Jesus and understood who He was and what He could do. Therefore, they brought all kinds of sick people to Him, so that they may be healed. They sought permission to touch atleast the fringe of His garment, that, they may be healed. Their belief was strong as they knew who Jesus was. If you realise who He is, you can still be healed, whatever your sickness be. Even now, He is powerful enough to heal you. If you believe Him, then you could be healed right now. I pray that the power of His healing be released right now to those who believe in His mighty name. The people of Gennesaret brought people from other areas so that they may be healed. Andrew, the disciple of Jesus brought Simon Peter to Jesus.(John 1:40-42) Do you really believe in Him? then whom have you brought to Jesus.?
We read in Nahum 1:7 that, 'The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, he knows those who take refuge in Him'. So he is strong enough to hold and protect you, if you take refuge in Him. Have you taken refuge in Him? If not do it now, you will be under His divine protection. 2 Timothy 1:12 - 'Which is why I suffer as I do.But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me'. Do you believe in Him? Have you trusted firmly in Him? Because Paul believed in Jesus, he suffered hardships for the cause he was called for. Sufferings could not take him away from the love of Jesus. Romans 8:35- Here he says that no one could seperate him from the love of Jesus. If you have trusted in Him, he will guard you till the end.
Daniel 11:32 - He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. There is a great difference between God Knowing you and you knowing God. Here we can see that the people who know their God, in whom they trust will stand firm and resist him. So if you want to do the impossible know your God.
Job 19:25 - For I know that my redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. Job says that I know that I am serving a God who is alive. He has redeemed him from all his problems. David says that he was redeemed or pulled out of the marshy pit (Psalms 40;2) How magnificent it is to know that we are serving a God who knows our problems and hardships and that He is alive to help us. Do you really know that your redeemer lives?
Have you ever known who Jesus is and what he can do for you. In John 4:10, we see a Samaritan lady, who talks to Jesus. Jesus tells her, If you knew whom you were talking to, then you would have asked Him for water and he would have given you 'Living Water'. Some people talk without knowing whom they are talking to. So you need to know Jesus and come to him. Then you will be blessed. John 4:29, she invites the people of the city to come and meet Jesus. If you have known Him well, you need to bring others to Him. Have you known Jesus well enough?
Jesus is the Creator of the Universe, who came to visit his own creation to deliver them from the bondage of satan. Once, Jesus gathered His friends and disciples to ask them a question: "Who do people say I am?" The people probably with a surge of pride that their popular teacher inspired such interest and a wave of attention repeated the latest rumors. Jesus was a "prophet," perhaps even one of the old prophets of centuries past came back to life! Or maybe a reincarnation of the recently martyred John the Baptist! Jesus waited for the last chuckle to fade into silence. He held His disciples in His eyes for a moment longer, and then asked them the most important question they had ever heard. "But what about you?" He asked. "Who do you say I am?" Peter said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." Jesus is the Christ-a word simply meaning the anointed king or ruler. And He is the Son of the Living God-meaning that He is God himself. Jesus was thrilled with that answer! "You are blessed, because this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in Heaven." The lives of the people in that circle who embraced the answer were never the same again. So as you read this anointed message you are going to be blessed and your life transformed in the name of Jesus Christ.
And now, across the miles and the centuries, Jesus turns His face from that little group of friends and looks us in the eyes. He searches us silently for a moment, then asks us that same life-changing question: Who do you say I am? What is your answer? Will you act on your answer? If you answer by saying, "Jesus is King! He is Master! He is Creator and worthy to be praised and obeyed as my all-in-all"-then will you live like you believe this? You can go on from here forgiven of everything that you have ever done in your whole life with an expectation of the wedding feast of the Lamb, when we walk up into the arms of God and share in all of His Glory. Bend your knee to Him right now. It doesn't matter who is watching. Don't worry about their opinions. They can do nothing to save your soul, or to harm you. But if Jesus Christ, Lord of heaven and earth, is calling you..then bow your knee! Take action today to change for Jesus. Would you take your decision now and say this small prayer. Lord Jesus, I come to you right now, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I ask you for forgiveness. Lord, wash my sins with your blood that you shed for me at Calvary. I believe that you died and rose from the dead and are alive for me. I accept you as my Lord and savior. I surrender myself and give my life to you. Guide me as per thy will and make me your son/ daughter. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
So KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE. May God bless you in abundance from His Heavenly Treasures.
