In Whom do you Trust?

The word ‘trust’ has lost its value.  From what we see around us and from what we understand through the media, we lose trust in everyone.  In the first book of the Bible, Adam and Eve, both lived in the Garden of Eden in fellowship with God.  But satan, was clever and asked Eve, Did God really say,’ You must not eat from any tree in the Garden’. (Genesis 3:1) Satan used this trick of ‘doubting’. This was one of the first tricks of satan to decieve mankind. He made them doubt the word of God and his unconditional love. They sinned and lost their fellowship with God. Even now satan sows the seeds of doubt in mankind. When people go through troubles, sorrow, sickness, he makes people think, ‘If there was God, why have I got this trouble, sickness, sorrow’?  Why I have problems and not others? These days children dont trust their parents, husband and wife does not trust each other. We live in a world full of deception, cheating and those who are not worth trusting. ‘Doubting’ is a seed of the devil and only those who know his tricks , can resist that. Ephesians 4:27. Paul says, In 2 Corinthians 11:3, like how, the serpant deceived Eve...But the Bible tells us about the unchanging love of God and a God whom we can trust with all our heart.

In Psalms 20;7, David says, Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. He says that there are two kinds of people in this world. Some who trust in the world, its riches, their education, their families, their high professional skills, thier influence., etc.He states this for a fact, that the people of this world trust, or rather depend on many things. But he also says what happened to them, (Psalms 20:8) they were brought down on their knees and fell. All their hopes were shattered. Dear brothers and sisters, do not put your trust in the world and its riches that perish.

But what happened to those who put their trust in the Lord. They rose up and stood firm. If you trust in the Lord, you can always stand firm and no one can let you down. In Psalms 125:1, we see, Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. This is a special security and protection for you from God.   Joshua 24:16, Joshua says, For me and my household, we will serve the Lord. No matter what other do in my sorroundings, I will trust my Lord and serve Him. Can you say this. Then you will stand firm amidst whatever troubles and problems you are going through.

Is your trust fully in the Lord or are you trusting him partially? Trust in the Lord fully and you can stand unshaken wherever you are. You will stand firm with your heads up in your office, in your society, in your church and amongst your relatives. They will see that God is with you. This will be an opportunity for you to testify so that they will also believe in your Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus once told his disciples, John 14:1, Let not your hearts be in trouble, trust in God, trust also in me. You can always trust Jesus, who is a faithful God, unchanging God. He will never leave you nor forsake you. If you trust in Him, you can dwell with him in His Mansion, that he is making for you. John 14:2. If you trust In Jesus, you will also have peace. John 14:27, Jesus confirms again, Peace, I leave with you, my peace I give you...... not as the world gives.

David said in Psalms 23;6, ‘I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever’. If Jesus is your shepherd and you are His sheep, you can always trust Him and he will guide you, protect you and give you all your needs. He will make you lie down in green pastures and lead you to the mansion being prepared for you. He will not forsake you, he will not leave you astray.  Jesus said,’ I am the way’. He will guide you in the right path. Trust Him all your life.

God bless you!
