But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions. Mark 10:21,22

When we make the right choices even in difficult situations, we experience the power of God working in our life through grace. God said in the bible, "My grace is sufficient for you." When His grace is sufficient for us in all our weakness means it has enough power to strengthen us in all our weakness. This means we can make the right choices even in weakest times and stand for what is right and what is true. God's grace will strengthen you for it. We find it very difficult to stand for the truth and stand for right things, in difficult times is only because we look at temporary things and don't want to undergo the temporary pain and suffering to receive the long term blessings. To forgive is undergoing temporary pain, but we don't want to go through it and hence we keep it in our hearts and live in unforgiveness for our whole life, even though we know that this bitterness can make us unhealthy and bring many sickness and reduce our immunity. With all this knowledge yet will never forgive.

Even the snake has to shed off its old skin to move into a new level. The snake has to let go off its comfortable skin and make the choice to step into the new level. The snake can make the choice to continue to live in the old skin and live in discomfort and pain for ever or make obey and let go off the old skin and move ahead in life, with new attitude, new thoughts, new vision, new strength, new life.

Begin your life a new. Begin your life with a new attitude. Begin your life with new energy. Don't let anything or anyone make you stagnant. Don't let you disobedience stop you from moving ahead. Dont be sad if you have let go off things that is holding you behind. Don't be sad to obey God when He asks you to let go off those friends and wrong relations which is holding you behind. It will pinch you, it will give you little pain, but all this will only push you up. Ignore all the negative voice, ignore all the voices that say that why are you doing so much? Its simple, you want much and hence you have to give up much. Don't compromise, be focused and take hold of your promised land by moving ahead. Challenge your faith to believe the impossible and do the impossible. Don't return sad and sorrowful when God has asked you to give up something, instead give it up and rise up to a new level. There are many things that is holding you behind. Your past, your hurts your failures, your past relations the negative and hurtful thoughts of how people took advantage of you all of these things contribute. If you have to rise up in life, you have to let it go. The more you hold on to it the more it will have hold in your life and the more you will be held behind.

Rising up in life is a choice. To be successful and living a blessed life is a choice. No one can make this choice for you. Others can only tell you, but the choice remains with you. The choice to thing negative and wrong or the choice to thing victory and promotion is a choice which we have to make. To move ahead in life is a choice. There are many things that will oppose us and will come against us, but if we make a choice to not allow any opposition to make choose wrong then we will never live defeated. We will never allow anyone or anything to defeat us.

Our choices our going to help us. If our choices are based on what others are doing to us then it means that others are dictating terms to us and we are living exactly how they want. But if we choose, no matter what others do, I will choose to do right and live right, then we defeat the purpose of what others are planning to do in our life and we live our life. We then have control over our life. In this if we live our life exactly the way God wants us to live, then we give the control of our life in God's hands in complete surrender. This way God has more control over our life and can do great things in us and through us. Today decide to make the right choices, with the help of God. God bless you.

The youth above had taken a strong decision to come to Jesus. When he introduced himself to Jesus, how he has earned riches in his life at his young life and how he had kept what his religion demanded, yet he was not satisfied internally. He was lonely even with all the riches. He was dissatisfied even with all the riches. He had bought the best pleasures and had entertained him with whatever money could buy and now he had come to Jesus to ask for a solution. He had realised that he was still empty and he had reached a point of saturation. If you feel you are in the similar situation and find yourself stuckup and not moving ahead, whether you have everything or you have nothing then there is something that is required of you. Even if you don't have anything and suddenly you have everything yet it can't satisfy. People go for parties and are addicted to drugs and alcohol, yet when they return to their senses they find themselves dissatisfied. They find themselves even more worse than before. They find that when they were high it was only momentarily yet it has brought no change in their life or in their situation. The truth is that nothing of this world will ever satisfy you.

You are a spirit being living in the flesh. If you need something to satisfy you, then you need to feed your spirit. God is Spirit and your spirit can be satisfied with Godly things and not religion. Religion doesn't have anything to feed your spirit. Religion has only to do with what you have to follow. Religion will tell you all the do's and dont's but it will not help you internally. Religion can't help your dissatisfaction, your loneliness, your depression, your poor health, your bad circumstances, but God can surely help you. It is God, Who does miracles. It is God Who changes our circumstances. It is God Who does the impossible. Obedience will help you to rise up in life. To rise up it requires you to get rid of things of old. The things that your forefathers did and set before you might not be right, you have to search it out for yourself. You don't continue to go to the doctors whom your forefathers visited, because you trust in the more equipped doctors who can help you in all health problems. In this case you searched out the truth, then why not search out the truth which will help you. Get out of your comfort zone. Get of the old lies and move ahead to search it out for yourself and get to know God. God bless you.

We all have aims in life, but at times we come to a place of stagnancy. We push, we pull but we never move. It seems like we are stuck forever. It seems like we are never going to move ahead. It seems like nothing is happening right in life. There we always ask God, "When will it happen?"

Even the youth in the above passage mentioned in the bible had an aim in life. He had earned lot of wealth in his life. This was his first aim which he had achieved and now he had the second aim, to come closer to God. It was his longing from a long time. He had achieved everything in his life, now he wanted God. His pursuit brought him to Jesus. He took efforts to come to Jesus who was surrounded by people who were surrounded by the needy and rejected. This youth was looking at religion. He was saying that I have achieved everything in life, now I can atleast keep up with religion so that God will also be happy. But what he missed was that religion doesn't satisfies. We can keep doing religion but unless we have the relationship with God, we live an empty and dissatisfied life. Religion is created by people, which everyone agrees. Only agreeing is not the solution. After agreeing what have you done to find the truth. The above youth also went ahead and agreed to what everyone said, but he never accepted the truth and searched it out.

Truth can never be hidden. It can be suppressed and persecuted for sometime, but it can't be stopped. Truth will make its way out. Today as the truth is reaching you, search it and share it. Don't be dejected like the youth of the above passage, but search out the truth. Don't say now is not the time. Don't ignore searching out the truth. Think what if you were born in a different religion family then why fight on religion basis, instead search the truth and the truth will get you the freedom. God bless you.

If YOU CAN – Part 3

Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Mark 9:23

God doesn't need specialized talents to bless you. If you have its good. But if you don't have don't be sad. The talents come from God. Don't be negative, thinking that someone has a better talent, and you don't have it. You don't need it, if you needed it, God would have given you. If you don't have it, it means that God doesn't want you to have it, because He has given you everything that is required for you to be YOU and fulfill His plans through you and in you.

David had the sling and the stones to kill Goliath. God didn't want the sword and shield. There is nothing impossible for God. God used the dreaming habit of Joseph to bless and promote him. Don't worry about how many people are applying for that promotion, don't worry about how many people are applying for that job, they might be talented, they might have the best experience, but if you have God with you, you are stronger and better than everyone who have come there. If only you can believe, all things are possible. Don't put it on God. God has given it to you. The father who was expecting his son to be healed, realized, "God can do anything only if I believe." He chose to quit unbelief and start believing. Believing is not something that will happen, it is a choice to be made. You have to choose to believe in all circumstances and situations. The father believed and He saw the miracle. Jesus didn't say, "Let it happen because I want your son to be healed." Jesus didn't say, "Now because you are crying let your son be healed." Jesus said, "Let is happen to you as you believe."

Jesus didn't hate him because of his (father's) unbelief. Jesus helped him. Jesus is saying the same thing, let it be your breakthrough, your healing, your job, your promotion, your deliverance from addiction, your promotion, your loan being sanctioned, all is possible only if you can believe. All things are possible to him who believes. 'Can', is the condition that God has given. Now my question is, "Can you believe? Can you not allow doubting questions to flood your mind? Can you stop doubting and believe even if things don't happen immediately? If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. Choose to believe rather than living in doubt. If YOU CAN – Part 2

Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Mark 9:23

Like the father (who wanted deliverance for his son), we think the Pastor when they pray for us, things are not happening, because the pastor is not close to God. We judge and like to blame others for our problems. We can feel good by blaming others, but our feelings will not change our situations. Neither, we feeling pity about ourself will change our situations. What we should do to see the change in our situation is only believe. God has answered our prayers we have to only believe. Our belief will either gets us the blessings or stops our blessings. Our belief will get us the breakthrough or stop our breakthrough.

Remember David and Goliath. We might have heard this story of victory which David achieved. But there is a sad story of failure linked with it too. Failure of the whole army of Israelites who couldn't defeat Goliath. Everyday the whole army got ready, wore their armor and came to the battlefield but never had the guts to fight Goliath. King Saul, who led the army, didn't have the faith in God and couldn't believe that he can achieve this victory. All the Israelite army didn't have the faith to believe the victory. They were trained to battle. They were trained to fight but their own thoughts stopped them from even moving ahead and getting their victory. On the other hand, we look at David a small shepherd, who was not trained to fight, didn't have the weapons to fight, but only had belief in God. His faith in God made him use the small stones which he used to fight bears and lions, trying to steal his sheep. One was fully equipped and trained, and the other (David) not trained nor equipped. The only difference between them was what their belief. The whole army believed in their problem and David believed in his God who can make every impossible as possible. What are you believing? Are you believing your problems are greater than your God then you will never overcome, but if you believe that our Living God is greater than your problem, then with all your weakness and incapabilities and limited talents also you will be able to overcome every impossible things. If you can believe all things are possible. Whether you have the talent or not, if you have the belief that with God's strength you can do it, God will use the things you have, to bless you. Joseph was a dreamer, David only had a sling, God said, "That is what I require and I will bless you with through those dreams. I will help you win using those useless stones." Don't compare yourself with others. God has equipped you to be who you are. You are exactly as God wanted you to be. He has given you the talents that you require to be successful and promoted. Only believe. If you can believe, everything will be possible for you. God bless you.

If YOU CAN – Part 1

We have a got a habit of complaining. We always complain. The bible speaks about a parable where a father is looking deliverance for his child. He comes to the disciples of Jesus and asks them to heal his son, but nothing happened. Now to save the embarrassment, the disciples started searching for Jesus. The disciples were thinking its there fault that the child as not healed, the father was thinking, it was the disciples mistake that his child was not healed. The father was thinking, the disciples don't have the power to heal. He thought that the disciples of Jesus are powerless and they could do nothing. He was full of anger and had made up his mind to complain to Jesus about his useless disciples who could do nothing.

When Jesus arrived on the scene, the disciples complained, "Jesus where were you, everyone is searching for you." More important than others, they needed Jesus to save them from the thoughts and words of the people. The disciples and the people all were waiting for Jesus. Like them we also are waiting on God, with an attitude of complain, when will it happen God? Where are you God? Like the crowd we think that God is at fault because nothing seems to happen. We tend to think that God doesn't want us to be blessed. We think that God is the one who is stopping our blessing and not answering our prayers. The father had all the heart full of complain when he met Jesus, but to his shock, Jesus called him faithless. He was full of questions. He had thoughts, "How can I be faithless, when Jesus' disciples can't heal my child." Immediately Jesus answered, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Jesus was saying, "Anyone who prays to Me, it is answered," but are you ready to receive. Same thing God is asking you, "Are you ready to receive? You might be saying, "Yes Lord, I am." God is saying, then it will happen. If you can believe this truth it will be made possible. God bless you.

Don't be impatient when you don't see things happening in your life. Be patient with God and with yourself even if things don't seem to happen because not everything that springs up immediately is going to last. Your blessing and your miracles all will come through. As you have waited on God for so long, shows that you have allowed God to work in you. That is a sign that lasting blessings, lasting promotion will come to you. The character of God will outlast your own character of evil and wickedness. Give importance to the word of God and you will God's word giving you the importance in bringing the blessings to you.

That temptation and that test tells you that your fruit is now strong and now you have work to maintain it. You don't have to work to create it. While maintaining the fruits and character we get complacent and start feeling monotonous and let our guards down. Thats what the devil wanted and he gets an opportunity to sneak in your life and make you fall. This results in backsliding. That doesn't mean that you can never get up ever in your life. You can again get up and begin a fresh with God. God is full of opportunities. He is full of grace and mercy. There is never a dead end with God, even now you can begin a fresh with God. He is ready to receive you even before you think of going to Him. Remember the father was ready with everything even before the prodigal son thought of returning. He will throw a big party at your return. Don't waste time, get up and begin a fresh with God. He loves you and will forgive you no matter what great a sin you have committed.

Don't stay defeated for a any longer. I know there might be lot of questions that would be runnning in your mind. God will answer all of those questions but first come to Him. You might be thinking about the society, will they accept you again? Let me tell you Kathryn Kuhlman chose to come back to God and God used her mightily. Samson chose to return to God and God answered His prayer and He killed more people at his own death than all his life put together. Your returning to God is your surrender. It is the death of your ego and pride, this will be great blessing for you than any other thing. Let the people think what they have too. People are not God. This is your time, return to Him and He will willfully accept you as you are. You had this in your mind from long time, that you should be returning to God. God has led me to only remind you that He has not forgotten you and will never forget you.

Many of us our looking for a change in our life. We are really tired of living this sloppy life. We want the life of Jesus Christ in us so that we can glorify God, but we are not ready to take the required efforts. We say grace of God will work in me. Yes the grace of God will work in you, but will not do everything for you. You have to make the choices. Everytime you make a choice for God basis His word grace will work. Praying, reading the bible, reading and hearing messages are a choice which you have to make. These choices made by you will allow grace to flow in your life. Grace doesn't flow in your life only because you made the right choices, but it has come in your life, to strengthen you and help you to live committed to your right choices in all situations. Grace helps you to stand strong with all your choices in all situations. Don't misunderstand grace.

Everything that springs up suddenly is not good. It doesn't always last. Thats why the most important things in life doesn't come immediately. Your spouse, your promotion, your blessings, your miracles all these things comes after you have waited on God, after something happens in your life. God's character and His fruits doesn't come immediately it doesn't come overnight, it doesn't spring up immediately. God works in you and with you till you start bearing fruit in all situations. He works in you and then allows you to be tempted and tested. In that you come to know the level of your faith and also God knows how much more He needs to work in you. Every test and temptation brings a result and it only shows whether you have failed or passed. If you have passed means you are ready to move ahead in life on another adventure with God. But if you have failed its not that you have to commit suicide or be depressed, but it only tells us that we have to put in little extra efforts by spending more time with God. Our efforts means we don't have to do anything, but surrender and allow God to work. If we put our extra efforts to surrender then God puts His extra efforts to change us.

Today this is one of the major problems we have who follow Christ Jesus. When the preacher preaches we accept the word gladly but we don't meditate on it and don't allow it to take root which causes us to rejoice for a moment and then during times of trial and persecution we give up. The only reason is because we don't have root. We don't have root because we didn't meditate on the word of God enough time to take root in us.

It doesn't mean we didn't accept the word, it only means that we accepted the word on sunday morning, or through the TV or through my mails and posts and went home with that word, but with the daily chores of life we allowed it to get diluted and hence the word didn't take root. We accepted the word, we knew that it was from God, and it would turn around our situations and bring the breakthrough that we needed, but suddenly we see that it doesn't get the promised result. We then end up blaming God that we didn't get what He has promised. The problem is not God, but we are not giving the word of God much importance. You will say, "Jimsen, how could you say that I don't give importance to God's word." Today if someone comes to your house and tries to take away your whole salary, will you allow it. No matter how important meeting you have in the office or how busy you might be, you will leave everything to save it, but when the promise of God which is a real treasure that guarantees you blessings and miracles you don't guard it but allow the devil to steal it. That means you give importance to your money and not the word of God, as much as you ought to give it. From today, decide to give the most important place and time to God and then see how your life changes. The sower sows the seed, but the thief comes to steal it so that you will not get the desired blessings and you will not glorify God.

Stop living a lost and defeated life, but rise up to live a victorious and overcoming life. Guard the promise of God, which He has given you. Meditate on it till it takes root and you will never be uprooted in life. Keep life simple. Meditate on the word of God, till it takes root in you and you will never remain the same. God bless you.
